Challenges of the Anthropocene:

Perspectives for a Pluriversal Planetary Education

Using the example of planetary boundaries, the article examines what some of the central challenges of the Anthropocene are and to what extent the global education system can do justice to this situation. Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship strive to do justice to the necessary transformations in our views of nature, the world and humanity. Careful treatment of the natural and cultural heritage, respect for human rights and education for peace play an important role in this. Finally, didactic principles are developed that are important for planetary education today.
