Education in the Anthropocene The term "Anthropocene" is used to describe a role of man in the world characterized by the fact that man largely determines the fate of the planet, experiencing at the same time his power and his powerlessness. The term must not only limited to climate change, destruction of biodiversity, biogeochemical cycles, acidification of the oceans, pollution of the planet threatening the livelihood of humans, animals, and plants The concept of the "Anthropocene" characterizes a new global view of humans and the world that intertwines with all social and cultural domains. Among others it also includes, for example: 1) machine worlds, 2) digital transformation including artificial intelligence and robotics, 3) genetics and biotechnology. With the help of the 2030 action program, the aim is to save the vital foundations of human life. This agenda can be classified into five areas: "people" (poverty and hunger, life in dignity, equality, healthy environment), "planet" (protection of ecosystems), "peace" (inclusion, peace, justice), "prosperity" (welfare of all people through economic and technical development), "participation". The realization of these tasks should be based on the principles of universality, indivisibility, inclusion, accountability, and partnership. To contribute to these fields, education must be sustainable, inclusive, egalitarian, quality and lifelong. It must understand nature and culture as a common heritage of humanity, oriented towards human rights and the values of an education for peace, as well as towards the requirements of global citizenship education and the educational criteria central to it. This requires critical analyses of their approach, their practices, and their "grand narratives", without renouncing the necessary utopian elements.
